Jeuveau
Jeuveau is a botulinum toxin injectable product that works on wrinkles that develop when you use facial expressions. Known as dynamic wrinkles, these lines are attributed to the repeat pinching of skin combined with the natural reduction in key substances that give the skin resilience and structure. Jeuveau™ temporarily relaxes the muscles to give the skin time to smooth out the wrinkles. Jeuveau™ produces almost immediate results that may last for several months.
Candidates
Jeuveau™ is ideal for men and women who have used other neuromodulators in the past, as well as those who are new to non-surgical injectable treatments. If you have a history of cosmetic injections, discuss your experiences with Dr. Baker. He will use the information to guide his recommendations for Jeuveau™ frown line treatment or another of our dermal fillers and injectables.
Procedure
Frown line treatment with Jeuveau™ requires injections at several sites that target specific muscles in the upper third of the face. Dr. Baker determines how many units of Jeuveau™ is needed during the consultation based on his expertise with the product.
Recovery & Results
The process of injecting Jeuveau™ into the skin may cause a natural inflammatory response that helps your skin heal. Symptoms may include minor swelling, tenderness, bruising, and mild bleeding at each of these points. The symptoms are short-term, lasting 24 to 48 hours.
On average, Jeuveau™ provides anti-aging benefits for three to four months, but this varies by patient. Dr. Baker will recommend a schedule of follow-up appointments to evaluate how well your Jeuveau™ frown line treatment is reducing the wrinkles. Based on his findings, he recommends a schedule of maintenance treatments.
