The Beautiful Skin You Dream About
You deserve beautiful skin. Your skin performs a vital function in protecting your body from the elements. As the first line of defense against the elements, our skin often shows signs of aging before any other feature of our body. Time saps our skin of its youthful volume and reduces its elasticity. Fine lines and wrinkles form due to sun exposure, smoking, diet, and simply living.

What Is Morpheus8?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Morpehus8 for resurfacing, wrinkle treatment, and the overall restoration of the skin. Morpheus8 targets the deeper layers of the skin by using fractional radiofrequency energy. This initiates the remodeling and rebuilding of the underlying support structure of the skin. By maximizing the benefits of both radiofrequency and microneedling processes, Morpheus8 can achieve a synergistic effect that produces superior results to procedures with only a single modality.[1] Patients with numerous skin conditions related to aging benefit from this innovative treatment that promotes collagen and elastin synthesis.
What Do Collagen and Elastin Do?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the skin. It forms one of the most important building blocks in the skin, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Collagen serves as an important component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) which provides the support structure for healthy skin. Collagen is the primary ingredient for volumizing the skin. Collagen comes from the Greek word “kólla” which means glue. Think of collagen as the glue that holds together the essential elements of the skin. Elastin is another fibrous protein. It makes a vital contribution to skin elasticity and keeps the skin taut and responsive.

Safe Preparation
For two weeks before your Morpheus8 treatment, avoid sun tanning or tanning salons. For any extended sun exposure, please wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least 30 SPF. For 4-5 days before your treatment, pause any topicals that might irritate the skin including products with retinol, salicylic acid, and glycolic acid. Pause the use of medication and supplements that thin your blood at least a week before your session. This includes over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen and aspirin as well as popular herbal remedies such as ginseng, ginkgo biloba, and fish oil. Make sure to follow any personalized instructions provided to you by Dr. Baker.
Your Morpheus8 Session
By combining microneedling and radiofrequency modalities, Morpheus 8 can achieve results beyond what can be achieved with radiofrequency or microneedling alone.[1] Morpheus8’s needles allow for adjustable depths. This variability makes Morpheus8 a highly customizable procedure capable of treating a diverse array of ailments. Your clinician can fine-tune treatment to tighten loose skin, smooth deep wrinkles, improve crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, under-eye bags, and smoker’s lines, restore vibrance to crepey skin, tighten jowls and reduce pore size.
What to Expect During the Procedure
A Morpheus 8 session can take between 15 and 60 minutes depending on the size of the area and the patient’s unique treatment plan.
- Your technician will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area. If the patient’s treatment plan calls for the Morpheus 8 device to be used at a higher intensity setting, you may receive local anesthesia.
- You may receive a quick test spot to ensure you have no allergic reactions.
- Once you have passed the safety precautions, the clinician will begin rolling the device over the area to be treated. As the Morpheus8 device moves over the treatment area, micro-pins will penetrate the skin. As the micro-pins rolls over the surface, the device delivers fractional radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers of the skin
Recovery & Aftercare
For the first 24 hours after your session, make sure to protect your skin. Stay out of the sun and don’t engage in any strenuous activities. You should expect redness, swelling, or tight skin for about 3-5 days. Some patients may experience skin that flakes or peels. These are normal results and should resolve on their own within a week or so.
Morpheus8 Aftercare
- Refrain from using sunscreen for 24 hours after your session.
- Wait 48 hours until you apply makeup to the treated area.
- Avoid sun exposure as much as possible to limit the possibility of hyperpigmentation.
- Pause strenuous exercise for a week after your Morpheus8 session.
- As instructed, apply any healing cream or lotion daily for the specified time.
Enduring Results
Initial results will start to appear after about 5-7 days. But, it takes about a month for your collagen to reorganize and remodel itself. The collagen remodeling process continues for about 3 months, at which time your final results from your session will be visible. Studies show that Morpheus8 is a safe and effective treatment that promotes the production of collagen and elastin and restore optimal blood supply to the skin.[2] For many patients, 2-3 sessions is the optimal number to achieve the best results, though some patients may require more or fewer sessions.
How Much Does Morpheus8 Cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?

FAQ
How many initial sessions are needed depends on the condition(s) being treated and how many areas on the body require rejuvenation. Acne and excessive treatments generally require about 4 sessions. For skin tightening and general improvements in skin texture, anywhere from a single treatment to 6 treatments might be recommended to achieve optimal results.
Many patients arrange for a Morpheus8 maintenance session every 12-18 months. By incorporating Morpheus8 into a comprehensive skin care regimen, patients benefit from long-lasting results.
Fractional radiofrequency (RF) treatments employ RF energy in a grid pattern to direct energy at the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue. Fractional RF energy is most effective at treating mild to moderate acne scars and skin laxity.
